Invited speaker for the 25th EWMD International Conference, 21st of June, 2009 in Brussels – Belgium with the theme “Pursuit of Happiness”.

Born in 1966, January 3rd, in Lisbon; she is married and mother of triplets (three girls, presently, with ten years old). When she is not working, she loves to spend time with her family, travelling around the world and participating in think tanks with her friends about cosmology, biology, physics, anthropology and philosophy.

If she had to define herself in one sentence, she would say that: she’s a passionate for life, for people, for ideas, for new projects... and for social entrepreneurs…which are one of the driving forces for social, environmental and economic change!

"When in our actions we act on behalf of others, trying to achieve a better social environment for all, we act truly as human beings, accordingly with our true nature." TC Lacerda

She believes in a better world! She believes that each one of us has an important role in achieving a better world! Instead of complaining about the main obstacles and problems that we face daily, we should be part of the transforming process… creating solutions, opportunities, collaborating, thinking of others and not just of ourselves… creating a better environment for all!

Women have an important role in this process, with self-confidence and more activism.

As this outstanding quote states:

“Empowering women can change the world!”

Riane Eisler, Social Scientist, Attorney and Author of bestsellers

For her EWMD is a great cause, so she expects to be fully committed with it, presently and in the future!

“Only one who devotes himself to a cause with his whole strength and soul can be a true master. For this reason mastery demands all of a person." - Albert Einstein
