It is therefore our duty to protect your data which you trust us with when you visit our website. Subsequently, we would like to disclose to you any of your data we have collected, what happens with this data and which security measures we have taken to prevent fraudulent use of it.
Scope of Application
This data protection notice is valid for the whole website. It is not, however, valid for sides of other providers who may have links on our website.
Logging of User Data
Every time a user accesses a side of our website and everytime data is retrieved, the following access data is collected during this procedure will be stored in a data log on our server.

• Browser type and browser settings

• The page and date visited
• Amount of data transferred
• Access data (transferred data, data not found etc.)
Statistics will be generated from this data which will help us to adapt further our internet portal to your needs. Any connection to an individual or providing a third party with the data, also in part, does not take place.
Storage of data on new registration or membership
For personalised use of the internet provision and the administration of members and those interested in the offer, EWMD requires the following obligatory information from the user: First name and surname, e-mail address, postal address, company/organisation, reason for registration.
For a more detailed registration (user profile) further details are possible and can be entered voluntarily by the user. All collected data is electronically stored and will be exclusively made accessible in the members index and for administrative purposes.
Transferal of member date to other association members
The care of personal of business contacts of members is an important component of the activities of ewmd. For this reason EWMD members have access to the members index and to the stored member data for this purpose.
The stored data in the member index corresponds exactly to the data given by the members in their member profile.
By voluntarily putting this data at our disposal, the user declares their consent for the release of the data in the members index. This is with the express instruction that the consent can be recalled at any time in writing to the authorised board without giving any reason in this case.
Own member contributions
If a user compiles their own contributions within the EWMD website (Blog input, survey, event etc) they will be named as the author when it is made visible. The contribution will be shown on the EWMD website and can be found using the search engines. Contributions which are marked by the author as being public are accessible world-wide in the public area of the EWMD website. These contributions will be indexed through the search machines. In addition, public contributions are a component of the RSS-Feed of the website and can be called up by others providing content. (Content Syndication)
Right of information and correction of stored personal data.
In accordance with §34 and §6b BDSG the user has the right upon request to receive free information concerning own personal data. In addition, the user has the right according to the legal conditions to amend. Block or delete this personal data.

Processing personal data
On some sides of our website we provide you with the possiblity to contact us or to make use of certain services (e.g. Newsletter subscription). Any personal data collected for this reason shall only be used for the purpose you have rendered it for. No data shall be passed on to a third party.
Technical security
It is to be noted that sufficient technical measures to ensure the protection of data have been used. Nevertheless, a comprehensive data protection cannot be guaranteed when publishing personal member data on the internet. The user is hereby informed about the risks of a possible violation of rights and declares that:

- The confidentiality, the integrity Inviolableness), the authenticity (genuiness) and the accessibility of the personal data is not guaranteed.
Secure Socket Layer
To guarantee the confidentiality of communication we have implemented a secure socket layer. As far as we are aware the 128 Bit secure socket layer is secure. This level of security is available on all browsers of the younger generation. You should therefore try and ensure that your PC is updated.
Cookies
We have implemented Cookies on the website. This concerns the small data packs which are stored on the hard desk , with help from your browser.
When registering (Login) on the website with your username and password, a permanent cookie will be stored on your harddisk which facilitates and automatic login and thus a more convenient use of the members area. This cookie is automatically deleted one year after your last visit or if you logout manually using the logout link.
In addition to the Cookies for login support, we also use session cookies which make it easier to use the website. These are used for example to save menu positions. These cookies are automatically deleted as soon as you have logged out or shut down your browser
Most browsers are set up so that the Cookies are automatically saved. You can however, deactivate cookies being saved or set up your browser so that it warns you if Cookies are being sent. Unfortunately, by deactivating Cookies you cannot not have a personlised use of the website.

Due to current given factors, such as a renewal of the Federal data protection laws which shall update this data protection notice if necessary.
