How to look for events

Upcoming events in the streams

Via main menu "News & Events" or "Chapters" you see the next upcoming events in the so called events stream. The events are ordered ascending by date, beginning with the next upcoming event.

Easy use

To find events interesting for you, visit the page of your home chapter and find immediately the events of your region. If you are interested nationwide refer to "national events". If you are interested in a neighbours region or country, visit that chapter via menu "Chapters". Via chapter's pages you find at a glance the next regional events (related to the chapter you chose), the next national events (related to the chapter you chose) and the next international events.

Getting deeper

Use the links "More regional (national, international)" if you want to see more than the next upcoming events. You will find events of the past as well as in the distant future. The event furthest in the future is on top, the listing is sorted descending by date. In countries without regional chapters you find national and international, but no regional events.

Example 1 (see figure):

You open the chapter's page of EWMD Siwtzerland, which is a national chapter. At "National events" you find events the authors "published to" EWMD Switzerland: these might be events published by a swiss member, but might also be published by a member from a neighbour country and considered as interesting for swiss ladies and therefore are "published to" EWMD Switzerland.
At "International events" you find events created in foreign chapters and which the author considered as interesting for the international events, i.e. an international conference.

Example 2:

You open the chapter's page of EWMD Tirol, which is a regional chapter. At "Regional events" you find events the author "published to" EWMD Tirol: the event is created in the chapter Tirol, or the event is created in another chapter, but the author considers the event as interesting for the chapter Tirol.
At "National events" you find events the authors "published to" EWMD Austria: these might be events with nationwide interest.
At "International events" you find events created in foreign chapters and which the author considered as interesting for the international events, i.e. an international conference.

How to control where the event is displayed

  • A regional event is "published to" the regional chapter. This is by default if the author creates an event in a regional chapter.
  • If the event shall be directed to the national audience, the author can publish the event in her home chapter and set "publish to" to the national chapter, or she creates the event directly in the national chapter.
  • If the event shall be directed to the international audience, the author can publish the event in her home chapter and set "publish to" to EWMD international network, or she creates the event directly in the chapter "International network".
