Digital Girls 2015 - Summer Camp

Digital Girls 2015 - Summer Camp

After last year's first experience, the department of engineering of Modena and Reggio Emilia university, in collaboration with Reggio Emilia Chapter of European Women's Management Development (EWMD) and with Vignola Foundation, is organizing the second edition of Digital Girls summer camp. The project has been promoted to contrast the digital gender gap and to support a stronger presence of women into a branch, the new technologies one, in which they have been barely involved until now.

From June the 15th until July the 10th, girls who are currently attending the third and fourth year of high school, will be able to participate for free to an educational path during which they will learn the rudiments of programming and they will deal especially with the development of a videogame with the Python language.

Digital Girls' project is sponsored, among the others, by the Emilia Romagna region and by the Municipalities of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
